Wednesday, November 24
- 6:00pm-10:00pm: Registration (at the Santa Land RV/Ice Park)
- Artists who register on the 24th will have first choice of available ice blocks

- Due to the warm weather, rain and extreme safety hazards of moving large blocks of slippery ice, Christmas in Ice will delay the competition for one day, and extend hours as listed below.
Saturday, November 27
- 7:00am-Midnight: Carving
Sunday, November 28
- 6:00am-6:00pm: Carving* (see note below)
- 6:00pm-7:00pm: Site Clean Up
- 7:00-8:00: Set Lights (white only for judging)
- 8:00pm-(until done): Judging
Friday, December 3
- 7:00pm: VIP Reception at Hotel North Pole – Artists Invited!
Sunday, December 5
- 6:00pm: Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
- 6:30pm: Ice Sculpting Competition Awards Ceremony
Theme
All entries must develop along the theme for the city of North Pole, Alaska: “Where the Spirit of Christmas Lives Year Round”. All entries will be judged in this same category.
Rules and General Information
Teams will consist of one (1) sculptor. A maximum of 30 teams will be registered. A $75 registration fee is required. You must state your intent to register by November 23, via email to: [email protected] or call (907) 378-5778. A concept sketch and bio is required at registration designating your required ice orientation (flat, horizontal, vertical). Each team will be provided with a minimum of 24 cubic feet of ice, in blocks of approximately 1ft x 4ft x 6ft, or more, depending on thickness of ice at harvest. Each team will also be required create stantions/partitions out ice provided (2x4x1 foot block) within/surrounding their designated space. Each team should provide its own tools, ladders and scaffolds as needed. Power outlets (110 VAC) will be available at each site. Teams should provide their own extension cords and work lights. Water will be made available. Meals will be provided on site to the registered teams. Sleeping space might be available at the park during the competition.

* All sites must be cleaned by 7:00pm (11/27/10) and carvers will place two white lights to illuminate their sculpture for judging; scrap ice and trash will be moved to a designated area. CII Board Members and the Santa Claus House property owners reserve the right to remove any individuals from the property at their discretion. ALL VEHICLES IN COMPETITION AREAS MUST BE REMOVED BY 9:00AM ON ANY GIVEN DAY.
